This position is in the Audiology Service at Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare Systems in Biloxi, MS; Mobile, AL; Pensacola, FL; and/or Panama City Beach, FL. The duties and responsibilities are carried out in all clinical and other patient care areas involved with the Audiology service and may require travel.
Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties performed include, but are not limited to the following: Provide patient care supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures. Patient charting and patient education including hearing conservation which do not require a full professional audiology education or knowledge and skills represented by audiology licensure support functions include both direct and administration duties.
Possess the ability to mentor and train new health technicians in audiology direct patient care. Ensures clinical readiness and patient satisfaction through accurate testing, efficient equipment use, and effective patient communication. Enables audiologists to concentrate on diagnostic complexities and therapeutic planning by managing technical and preparatory responsibilities. Organizes and sanitizes clinic rooms, sound booths, and audiometric equipment.
Manage office supplies tracking loaner stock hearing aid inventory electronic ordering verifying orders upon arrival to ensure components are present and working correctly.
