The primary purpose: Install, maintain, repair, and modify small/large/complex heating- includes heating boilers/single/multiple fuel power boilers, ventilation, HVAC/R including; critical computer room/equipment A/C, humidifying/dehumidifying, air cleaning, filtering, balancing, circulating, support equipment including electronic/mechanical system controls and distribution lines.
Performs pretest, operational (functional), and final testing; final tuning; alignment; and/or calibration of highly complex Operation Mechanical Control System (OMCS) electronic systems, industrial electronic controls, pneumatic components, Hydraulic loading equipment, and/or subassemblies and Preventative Maintenance (PM).
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a variety of large commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and supporting equipment for different kinds of structures such as large office buildings, warehouses, communication center, link training rooms, and other areas with sensitive equipment with complex problems and extensive repairs requiring judgment to locate malfunctions.
Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex heating boilers and/or heating systems, single and multiple fuel power boilers, and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment. Performs work on power boilers which use natural gas, liquid propane or a combination of fuels for steam or hot water production and distribution.
Repairs, and/or modifies various types of electronically controlled industrial equipment characterized by moderate complexity of design, construction, and function. Applies knowledge of electronic theory and circuits and basic logic circuits to: power, timing, and motion controls, and similar devices which are found in boiler combustion control systems; heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning control systems (HVAC).
Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment and electronic control systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
Plans and lays out work from electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders for large complex commercial and industrial systems and supporting equipment used to condition air in warehouses, and large office buildings and mission critical assets.
