Key Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.

Responds to current and future needs within the orientation & experience program by implementingimprovements to the program's automation, reports, and processes to deliver a successful program.Recommends and initiates changes and/or coordinates with stakeholders on the design, redesign, orenhancement of the current program.

Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to ensure appropriate interests are represented, functionalrequirements are included in the Orientation & Experience program and that stakeholder feedback isincorporated into program/project plans and executed. Duties require extensive collaboration among counterparts across IRS, and Treasury.

Ensures efficient and effective coordination of in person and virtual Orientation & Experience sessions, including logistical planning, reporting instructions, evaluation reports, records tracking, issue triage, and support to program staff, managers, supervisors, and new employees. Records, tracks, and maintains information on new IRS employees from the time of selection through week two after onboarding, by using the appropriate HR systems/technologies.

Analyzes orientation & experience programs, processes, and practices. Identifies trends and anticipatesadverse impact on budget and/or work plans and identifies problem areas or risks. Assesses the impact ofnew programs and legislative changes on the existing Orientation & Experience program and presentsfindings/impacts to the supervisor.

Determines sources of information, adequacy of materials and methods; analyzes previous orientation &experience evaluations and recommends improvements based on new hire and orientation & experienceemployee feedback. Requirements & Education

A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to Department of Education Accreditation page. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
