Job Summary

This position is located in Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO), Division of Staffing Operations (DSO), Processing and Quality Control Team (PQCT). The supervisor is Dariele Taswell. This position is not subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position is not subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform the full range of Human Resources duties. Such duties include but are not limited to: Process and review a broad range of personnel and payroll-related actions for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Conduct quality-control reviews and audits of personnel actions, supporting documentation, coding, authorities, remarks, effective dates, pay, and official records; identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective action.

Support the processing of within-grade increases, tenure changes, trial-period actions, awards, resignations, transfers, duty-station changes, telework-code changes, state-tax changes, military leave, student-loan repayments, and other personnel actions assigned to the team.

Apply pay-setting rules and guidance to routine and non-routine actions, including promotions, temporary promotions, transfers between pay schedules, pay and grade retention, and other pay-related matters, with guidance appropriate to the grade level.

Maintain the accuracy and integrity of information in HR systems and official records, including personnel action processing systems, electronic Official Personnel Folders (eOPFs), onboarding and tracking systems, and agency reporting tools. Support new employee onboarding and orientation activities, including document review, I-9 verification, coordination of required forms, and follow-up on incomplete or inaccurate submissions.

Coordinate separation and transfer activities, including required personnel documentation, exit-clearance steps, records requests, and communications with employees, supervisors, staffing specialists, benefits staff, security, payroll, and other stakeholders. Prepare, validate, and reconcile recurring reports and workload data, including entry on duty loss reports, error reports, status reports, tracking logs, and other management information.

Provide clear, timely, and customer-focused guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, HR staff, and office contacts regarding personnel processes, required documentation, status, and next steps. Contribute to process improvements, standard operating procedures, job aids, checklists, SharePoint resources, and automation efforts that improve efficiency, consistency, transparency, and customer service.
