Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Chief Technology Office locate in Ashburn, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
Joining Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology will allow you to use your expertise in IT principles, concepts and methods to support IT systems and services. This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10). In this Information Technology Specialist (Enterprise Architecture) position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals. Typical work assignments include: Developing and maintaining business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs. Developing information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.
Meeting with IT managers to discuss progress toward strategic goals, identifying potential problems, and reviewing agency strategic plans. Designing and implementing custom algorithms, workflow processes, and layouts for complex data sets for modeling, data mining, and research. Applying technical and organizational knowledge to define strategic direction, determine resource allocations, and establish priorities.
