The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as System Administrator and Cybersecurity Specialist with responsibility for planning and coordinating the information security, installation, testing, modification, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and integration of systems as well as workstations with unique software and operating environment requirements.
Performs role as System Administrator/Cybersecurity Specialist: secures, plans, coordinates, installs, and integrates aircraft- specific and/or other unique software and hardware for the unit that interoperates with the broader community of interest and supports operation infrastructure. Provides cybersecurity technical guidance and instruction to engineers and senior IT specialists. Serves as Senior System Administrator/Information Technology Specialist.
Maintains liaison with manufacturers, professional organizations, and master level cybersecurity specialist at other installations and service regarding available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements.
