Key Responsibilities
Directs multifaceted Wing Inspection Team (WIT) pre-inspection activities. Responsible for planning, implementation, oversight, and centralized control of a coordinated inspection team program. Organizes, trains, and oversees the inspection team in the execution of inspection activities. Develops a wide range of strategies, guidelines, and procedures to conduct comprehensive conventional and non-conventional inspection programs comprised of substantial variety and scope.
Formulates the annual inspection and exercise schedule for WIT members and evaluates objectives during exercise planning, develops exercise criteria, forms exercise simulations and deviations, analyzes data, reports trend information, and briefs results. Represents the IG inspection function in a variety of meetings, in working groups, and other situations, including emergency management personnel in surrounding communities.
