Job Summary

This vacancy is for a GS-0101-13, Integrated Primary Prevention Coordinator located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Workforce and Family Service Center in NORFOLK, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities

You will serve as an Integrated Primary Prevention Coordinator and be responsible for enabling the efforts of the Integrated Prevention Workforce (IPPW) to reduce harmful behaviors within the USCG. In the matrixed Coast Guard Mission Support Business Model, the position is technically, professionally, and operationally responsible to and managed by the WFSC, executing Headquarters IPP Program strategy, policy, and initiatives.

Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Planning, overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating integrated primary prevention programs. Advising leadership on prevention programs and resources. Ensuring policy compliance, identify efficiencies, and consolidate data. Communicating effectively with personnel and collaborate with stakeholders for prevention support.

Using analytical techniques and data management to evaluate programs. Requirements & Education

This position does have a positive education requirement. If course content cannot be easily identified from the title of the course as listed on your transcript, you must submit an official course description from the college/university that reflects the content at the time the course was taken.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States.
