Job Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Law Enforcement Operations Directorate, Intelligence, located in Sterling, VA. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

Learn more about CBP's mission, core values and careers at https://www.cbp.gov/about In this Intelligence Research Specialist role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security Individuals involved in applying a full range of expert intelligence knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide insights that warn of potential threats and assessments on possible outcomes in regard to national security.

This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Typical duties of this assignment include: Serving as a multi-source intelligence collection specialist/analyst on complex operational assignments. Analyzing collected information into intelligence products and effectively collaborates intelligence to decision makers and collectors as feedback.

Conducting complex research, evaluation, collection, dissemination, and fusion of multi-source information from one or more intelligence disciplines to satisfy a broad range of customer requirements. Planning, directing, and integrating functions to provide ISR intelligence and situational awareness necessary to successfully plan and conduct operations within the assigned areas of responsibility.
