Job Summary
This position is located in the DEA, Office of Inspections, Southeast Inspection Team F, in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is a permanent, 36-month rotational assignment. Selectee will remain at the GS-14 level after initial tour of duty.
Key Responsibilities
As a your typical work assignments may include: Analyze, evaluate, and integrate intelligence from multiple sources to assess both relevance and significance of developments stemming from the fields of research or operations within major geographical areas for the inspections process. Evaluate the level of compliance and impact of investigations through the inspection process e.g. through inspections, audits, program specific reviews, and projects.
Initiate, plan, evaluate comprehensive research and analysis programs, procedures, and policies as part of the DEA inspections process. Brief DEA leadership on inspection and compliance findings and provide recommendations to improve overall efficiency. Prepare studies or assessments of a specialized nature for Inspections and the Intelligence Program. May be required to testify during career as an Intelligence Research Specialist.
