The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior intelligence analyst and subject matter expert engaged in the technical analysis and production of information obtained and processed from multiple intelligence sources in support of customer requirements. **Position may be eligible for DCIPS STEM TLMS**
Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant on intelligence analysis and production. Leads a wide variety of complex and non-routine analysis and intelligence production projects/programs/teams to support component, combatant command, and 9 AF (USAFCENT) planning and operations. Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national, and coalition customers.
Provides Commanders and other customers the intelligence information and analysis derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths. Conducts and oversees the most complex analysis of multi-source intelligence.
Evaluates relevance and reliability of both classified and unclassified information to understand adversary strengths, weaknesses, and centers of gravity. Manages and oversees intelligence production. Manages and oversees intelligence production to satisfy component, combatant command, and 9 AF (USAFCENT) requirements. Serves as a senior technical authority on ISR issues for 9 AF (USAFCENT) leadership.
Makes authoritative recommendations and defends to the Director and 9 AF (USAFCENT) leadership, decisions on operational policy matters; often required to make difficult decisions committing organizational funds or resources impacting future capabilities. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
