Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer, to serve as a Flight Commander in an AFRC Intelligence Squadron. The employee has responsibility for all intelligence operational training and operational matters for the unit. The employee also has responsibility for orchestrating related Air Force Reserve integration into global Air Force ISR operations and training via associated programs.
Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of the tasks set forth herein. 1. Provides expertise on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, All-Source / Fusion Analysis, and intelligence products for execution of ISR tasking, collection, processing, analysis and dissemination. 2.
Organizes, plans, and oversees the activities of the unit's operations and training programs. 3. Serves as an AFRC intelligence expert, interfacing with AFRC and AF Operations Centers, to maintain command/control/oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve Forces within the Intelligence Squadron as well as Regular Air Force (RegAF) units, missions, and operations. 4. Manages the Flight operations and training, apportioning and scheduling programs for assigned members.
Analyzes Air Force Reserve capability against standing and dynamic intelligence operational requirements to execute operations and training to satisfy those requirements. 5. Manages training and readiness for the Flight. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities less than 25% of the time (for positions with less than 5 full-time subordinates).
