The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior intelligence specialist and subject matter expert with responsibilities that include program planning, direction, or evaluation of collection and reporting of information obtained from multi- intelligence sources, through various means, related to political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, scientific, and/or military conditions
DUTY 1: Conducts and oversees the most complex collection of multi-source intelligence. Serves as a subject matter expert for Human intelligence (HUMINT) collection and operations. DUTY 2: Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national and coalition customers.
Provides Combatant Commanders the intelligence information derived from ISR assets (HUMINT) to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths. DUTY 3: Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant in the dissemination of multi-source intelligence. Plans, directs and oversees ISR operations. DUTY 4: Serves as a senior technical authority on ISR issues.
Makes authoritative recommendations and defends decisions on operations policy matters to the Director and AF ISR Agency staff and is often required to make difficult decisions committing Organization funds or resources impacting future capabilities. DUTY 5: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
