Job Summary

Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer, to serve as the ISR Flight Commander in AFRC Squadrons. The incumbent has responsibility for all ISR operational training and operational matters for the unit. The incumbent also has responsibility for orchestrating related Air Force Reserve integration into global ISR Air Force operations and training via associated programs.

Provides expertise on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, All-Source / Fusion Analysis, and intelligence products for execution of ISR tasking, collection, processing, analysis and dissemination. Organizes, plans, and oversees the activities of the Group's operations and training programs.

Serves as an AFRC intelligence expert, interfacing with AFRC and AF Operations Centers, to maintain command/control/oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve Forces within the Intelligence Squadron as well as Regular Air Force (RegAF) units, missions, and operations. Manages the Flight operations and training, apportioning and scheduling programs for assigned members. Manages training and readiness for the Flight.

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities less than 25% of the time (for positions with less than 5 full-time subordinates).

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
