Job Summary

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York prosecutes cases involving violations of federal laws and represents the interests of the United States government and its agencies in criminal and civil matters. The Office investigates and prosecutes a broad array of criminal conduct of every conceivable magnitude, even when the conduct arises in distant places.

Key Responsibilities

This Investigative Analyst provides investigative analysis related to legal matter. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Investigative Analyst support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of New York, located in New York, New York, focusing in the areas of investigative support; legal support; intelligence.

Typical work assignments will include: Creates charts, graphs, videos, and other related materials for use in investigations, motions and at trial. Capturing cloud data, including web sites, social media accounts, email accounts, and other sources of online data. Interpreting call detail records. Directing or assisting investigators in tracing leads, gathering information, and other records to the transactions, events, or allegations under investigation.

Testifying in court regarding cell phone, social media, and other investigative analysis. Serving as a direct liaison and the focal point for agency personnel engaged in cell phone and social media analysis.

Requirements & Education
