This vacancy is for a GS - 2210 - 12, IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Customer Support/Information Security) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, C5ISC COMMAND CONTROL and NAVIGATION PRODUCT LINE in PORTSMOUTH, Virginia.
You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Customer Support/Information Security) and be responsible for managing information technology projects. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Coordinating and managing end-to-end service delivery to customers. Providing advice on project costs, design concepts, implementation plans, and system improvements.
Providing ongoing optimization, troubleshooting, and problem-solving support. Reviewing service performance reports and implement corrective actions. Applying cybersecurity principles and security controls to reduce exploitation opportunities. Developing and assessing supply chain risks and mitigation strategies. Coordinating with customers, contractors, and stakeholders to improve service performance.
Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. A. Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position. B. Information Assurance Management Level II (IAM-II) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
