Job Summary
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Forensic Sciences, Forensic Data Analytics Section (SFI). This primary purpose of this position is to be the primary liaison between the Office of Forensic Sciences (SF) and the Information Systems Division (TC) and is responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of all SF forensic technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
As a IT Project Manager (APPSW), your typical work assignments may include: Administering and managing forensic IT software projects on an enterprise scale for major office or program initiatives of major significance and impact. Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT training issues; applying new developments to previously unsolvable problems.
Ensuring compliance with security protocols to meet DOJ and DEA requirements. Providing DEA representation to and close liaison and cooperation with principal officials of associated and companion agencies and organizations, both domestic and international, to assist in the accomplishment of DEA forensic sciences programs. Coordinating Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to ensure network compatibility with laboratory program requests.
