The primary purpose of this position is: Warrior Preparation Center Detachment 3 Chief of IT system accreditation to enable the execution of the local and mobile electronic warfare threat to air operations training mission and Live, Synthetic, Blended operations of USAFE portion of the tri-national Polygone Multinational Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactics Facility.
Directs IT workforce: Manages and directs complex large-scale projects designed to operate, maintain, and upgrade multiple integrated hardware/software EW TTAO C2 IT systems.
Serves as unit Information System Security Manager (ISSM): Applies IT security principles, methods, and security products to protect and maintain the availability, integrity, confidentiality, accountability of information system resources and information processed throughout WPC DET 3's EW TTAO C2 IT systems' life cycles. Manages unit's EW TTAO IT C2 systems configuration management (CM): Responsible for ensuring configuration documentation and maintenance of CM database.
Participates in research, tests, and evaluation of systems, software, and equipment to determine new EW TTAO IT C2 systems or modifications to existing systems: Conducts analyses to determine optimum location and utilization of new equipment/systems. Serves as the government Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager: Maintains accountability and government responsibility for sensitive cryptographic materials and related COMSEC information.
