The primary purpose of this position is: To perform duties as Mission Systems Operator and Information Technology (IT) cryptographic material specialist responsible for base level management of the installation's COMSEC devices and communications equipment, including serving as the first line supervisor of Combat Crew Communications personnel.
Lead unit Mission Systems Operator. Plans and operates datalink operations to create a single integrated common operating picture. Assist the 62 AW Tactical Datalink/Link Unit Manager (TDL/LUM) in performance of duties.
Establishes, develops and maintains effective work relationships; Includes Theater/Range JICOs (as applicable),local airspace and data link users and Electronic Scoring Ranges as well as HQ ACC who are the focal points forcoordinating and modifying the tactical data link networks and for execution of all CJCSM 6120.01F and CJCSM3115.01C procedures operating in ACC. Supervisor of Combat Crew Communications (62 OSS/OSAC) personnel.
In accordance with DAFMAN 17-1302-O,exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities over a limited staff providing technical assistance toensure effective COMSEC operations and communications interoperability.
