The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is the Nation's risk advisor, working with partners to defend against today's threats and collaborating with industry to build a more secure and resilient infrastructure for the future. The official title of this position is Security Specialist, GS-0080-13.
This position is located in the Infrastructure Security Division which focuses on protecting critical infrastructure from all hazards by managing risk and enhancing resilience through collaboration with the critical infrastructure community, which includes private sector owners, operators, and employees; State, local, tribal, and territorial officials; and other Federal agencies.
Typical work assignments include, but are not limited to: Leading unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)/ counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) subject matter expert (SME) efforts to advance CISA's BeAirAwareTM program by setting content priorities, producing integrated threat and legal/regulatory analysis, and advising leadership on program decisions.
Serving as a principal advisor to internal and external stakeholders on UAS risk, vulnerabilities, airspace restrictions, detection technology considerations, and applicable legal/regulatory constraints. Building and managing strategic partnerships and representing CISA in interagency and external forums. Leading development and delivey of UAS security briefings and training programs.
Developing, implementing, and overseeing processes for coordinating flight restrictions for large public gathering events and critical infrastructure. Independently developing memos, briefing materials, and talking points for internal stakeholders and CISA leadership. Military Spouses and U.S. Foreign Service Spouses Only: This position is remote work and telework eligible consistent with the Agency's telework and remote work program policy.
Applicants who live within the local commuting area (i.e., a 50-mile or less radius from Glebe Road, Arlington VA (not driving distance)) are eligible for 100% telework in accordance with agency policy.

The posted pay range is $121785 – $158322/yr.
