As a Lease Contracting Officer, you will perform a wide range of large scale, highly visible, and highly complex realty transactions. Location of position: GSA - Public Building Service (PBS), Office of Realty and Lease Acquisition The Office of Realty and Lease Acquisition is responsible for delivering leased space timely, at the best value, and with high-quality workplace solutions. We are currently filling eight vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Coordinates with other office components to ensure conformity of procedures and interpretations. Responsible for oversight of site acquisition projects including federal site acquisition, relocation, out-leasing, easements, permits, and licenses.
Works on projects that involve very complex and/or controversial transactions with sensitive negotiations or substantive risk to the Government, and/or large scale, high visibility projects to be accomplished under lease construction agreement and/or other innovative or highly complex/ specialized contractual vehicles.
Manages highly complex realty projects in collaboration with and in support to customers, such as acquisitions involving large blocks of space coupled with complex relocation issues; property management issues requiring extensive coordination; and conflicts between clients and local, state, or Federal authorities.
Performs a variety of complex real estate work related to the acquisition of real property and/or the management of federally owned, leased and/or delegated space, based on needs identified through the customer requirements development process.
Prepares and reviews required legal documentation to support acquisition determinations in accordance with application law, regulations and policies, i.e., Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Federal Management Regulation (FMR), GSA Acquisition Regulation (GSAR), and GSA Acquisition Manual (GSAM). Maintains lease/site acquisition files and follows up to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
