The Telehealth Clinical Technician (TCT) LVN serves in a generalist role to support Telehealth clinical programs from the patient location and across the system. The TCT LVN provides a wide range of clinical and technical services that demonstrate complex technical judgment under the administrative supervision of the Connected Care Nurse Manager and/or Facility Telehealth Coordinator (FTC), and clinical supervision from the FTC/Nurse Manager.

Appropriately prioritizes patient care needs for Telehealth clinics, including ensuring Telehealth clinics are adequately covered during staff shortages and/or staff call-outs for Connected Care and may assist with coverage for Telehealth clinics in Primary Care and Specialty Care services. Provides patient and clinical staff education regarding the SFT imaging process.
Conducts quality control procedures on equipment and maintains proper records for quality control reports and workload reporting. Facilitates the clinical, business, scheduling, and technical aspects for real-time Telehealth applications. Uses specialized equipment and video-conferencing technologies. Coordinates and connects staff, resources, patients and providers to services, patient care, education, and training.
Performs a range of direct care duties that may include testing or physical assessment of the patient within the scope of practice, such as neurological tests, palpitation, auscultation, collecting vital signs and other clinical components of the telehealth visit as directed by policy or clinic standards. Assists in head-to-toe assessment based on knowledge of anatomical sites for examination as appropriate.
Administers medication accurately and promptly under the general supervision of a registered nurse. Demonstrates understanding of the effects and/or reactions caused by medications, treatments, and procedures. Records and reports these observations. Collects information from patients, provides care, completes clinical reminders, educates patients on pre- and postprocedural instructions as appropriate.
Demonstrates nursing practice, the ability to plan and organize assignments independently. Guides and directs other staff in patient care with remote supervision. Identifies subtle changes in patient condition, both physical and emotional. Demonstrates practical knowledge of human behavior, motivation, and reactions to situations. Reports these in a timely manner and initiates appropriate action.
Instructs patients and family members on principles of health, self-care, and protocols for treatments and /or medications. Utilizes teaching materials to promote self-reliance and independence including methods to prevent complications and facilitate recovery. Reinforces instruction provided by other health care professionals. Clearly and thoroughly records significant observations and actions on appropriate forms.
Performs administrative duties as assigned including conducting needs assessments for proposed Telehealth clinics, developing Telehealth service agreements, submitting required documentation, and ordering equipment for the establishment of new clinics. Supports various clinical specialties in their daily telehealth operations, demonstrating strong customer service, independent problem solving, and attention to detail with patients and staff alike.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm or as determined by supervisor.
