This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Office of the Chief of Staff (OCoS), serving as a Management Analyst providing operational and functional support to the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Major Duties: Keep leadership apprised of sensitive issues and program performance, enabling informed decisions on administrative/programmatic management.
Serve as SME for Congressional communications: draft, coordinate concurrence, and manage official correspondence, testimony, and Questions for the Record. Document and track DAS-level actions (Assistant Secretary/PDAS/SPMO) in automated systems (e.g., VAIQ, SharePoint, ExecVA); ensure timely closure. Represent senior OIT leadership in high-level meetings to drive completion of assigned actions across internal and external executives.
Design and implement process improvements to streamline administrative procedures and enhance action tracking and task flow (e.g., VAIQ). Maintain effective monitoring and controls within VAIQ, ensuring optimal handling of proposals, justifications, and decision items. Cultivate enterprise-wide relationships to build transparency and continuous learning across the Department's IT community.
Diagnose business operations issues of high importance/severity and consolidate group findings into actionable products (e.g., evaluation reports, proposed regulatory changes). This is a bargaining unit position.
