The mission of Planning, Performance, and Integration Office (PPIO) is to advance the enterprise-wide strategic direction of WHS in achieving its goals and objectives. PPIO manages WHS organizational performance by delivering frameworks that establish cross-functional standards, conducting performance management, and ensuring integration efforts, outreach, and engagement are aligned to deliver strategic outcomes for WHS and its customers.
This position serves as the Event Manager responsible for leading and coordinating the planning, execution, and delivery of high-profile television, live events, and ceremonies for the DoW.
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Develop and plan large-scale, complex live events, ceremonies, and productions from concept to completion, formulating creative treatments, automated staging designs, lighting configurations, and sound reinforcement solutions tailored to non-standard venues and specialized technical environments.
Serve as the technical authority and live-event director during high-profile ceremonies, town halls, and strategic messaging events; translate complex technical plans into actionable run-of-show directives and provide real-time direction to mitigate technical risks and troubleshoot system failures.
Lead and synchronize multidisciplinary technical crews-including staging, audio, lighting, video playback, and broadcast personnel-through pre-production, technical rehearsals, and live execution to ensure flawless adherence to approved creative and operational visions.
Manage administrative, resourcing, and logistical requirements for live events; author vendor Statements of Work (SOW), conduct market research, oversee contract deliverables as the on-site technical representative, and maintain rigorous financial accountability for all production expenditures.
Advise leadership and military/civilian stakeholders on state-of-the-art audiovisual and theatrical staging technologies; evaluate emerging industry developments; maintain comprehensive event documentation and after-action reports; and lead continuous process improvements for enterprise-wide event delivery.
