Job Summary
Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
Key Responsibilities
This position is located in the Residential Reentry Management Branch (RRMB), Reentry Services Division (RSD), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) under the direct supervision of the Assistant Administrator/Operations, RRMB. Responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions for the RRMB are recorded in an accurate and timely manner in the financial management system to produce the financial reports necessary for monitoring the financial status of the branch.
Develops BOP accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the General Services Administration (GSA), and the Department of Treasury.
Involved in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on or improving the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, management controls, information and documentation systems, and/or similar functions of management.
