This position provides program direction, financial information, and analysis to both departmental and executive leadership to enhance decision making and to provide efficient, cost-effective healthcare to the Veterans of the Medical Center. The employee performs analytical and evaluative work of financial and administrative aspects which includes data gathering, analysis, interpretation, or may perform work involving special projects. Position is located in in Brockton, MA.

The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-09. At the GS-07 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-09.
Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. Duties include but are not limited to the following. Analyzes and manages financial and budget information to support efficient and effective use of funds. Monitors and tracks expenditures and obligations and projects future funding needs to ensure funds are available to support program operations.
Maintains budget and fund control information and prepares accurate cost estimates, financial reports, and other related documentation. Reviews financial transactions and supporting documentation, including invoices and purchase orders, for accuracy and appropriate use of funds. Monitors program costs, identifies spending trends, and communicates funding or expenditure information to appropriate staff.
