Learn more about CBP's mission, core values and careers at https://www.cbp.gov/about This position is offering location negotiable to one of the following locations: Tucson, AZ Yuma, AZ El Centro, CA Long Beach, CA San Diego, CA Washington, DC Miami, FL Indianapolis, IN Detroit, MI Newark, NJ Buffalo, NY New York, NY Del Rio, TX El Paso, TX Laredo, TX McAllen, TX Seattle, WA Serves as an expert analyst and/or advisor to management on a wide a range of complex program activities requiring application of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment.

This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection. The Major Duties for this position are listed below but not limited to: Providing analytical tools and methodology to comprehensive knowledge of management issues and programs for the development and/or implementation of laws, policies and regulations.

Organizing and coordinating thorough, systematic, professional efforts to meet the complex planning needs and unanticipated requirements and to provide written and oral reports with conclusions, alternatives, and recommendations on national policies, projects, or studies.

Planning, organizing, and directing team/task force efforts across organizational lines, including the ability to monitor progress to ensure the realistic objectives and milestones are established, to clearly assign responsibilities, and to accomplish mission requirements in a timely manner.

Communicating both orally and in writing effectively and the ability to grasp conceptual ideas and exercise original thought where there is an established time limit for deliberation, consultation, and evaluation, and to present well-considered and sound suggestions.
