Join Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and utilize your expertise as analyst on critical programs applying a wide range of qualitative and management principles. This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
Typical responsibilities include: Serving as a project leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OPR critical programs.
These may include but are not limited to: budget methodology; hiring processes and organizational structure; internal and external training; efficient and effective management of property, fleet, facilities; assessment and management of procurement processes; statistical research and performance measurement; information systems; planning and control systems; and/or public and congressional liaison and policy.
Ensuring that accurate, concise, and timely information is readily available to management and/or policy officials. Designing and administering planning and controls for submission of OPR data, to include forming the basis of staffing and program resources requests, decisions made, and the methodology used. Organizing the review of all submissions for substance, conformance with instructions, completeness, and authorizations.
Identifying and resolving, as applicable, unique issues where no policy exists, taking innovative actions to address new needs and/or issues.
Responsible for ensuring that assigned programs and processes are covered by internal controls and that appropriate precautions are taken to prevent fraud, waste, and misuse or mishandling of resources in accordance with policies Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies specified using this vacancy announcement.
