Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Strategic Planning and Analysis Directorate, Location Negotiable After Selection. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
While serving in this role, you will provide insight into resource management and planning while applying new techniques to improve operational efficiency. This work directly influences the accomplishment of USBP program goals and objectives. This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
As a Management and Program Analyst, typical duties include: Performing comprehensive program analysis of historical data, current spending, future estimates, and operational trends to support USBP planning, resource allocation, and executive decision-making. Designing and implementing analytical methods to recommend solutions to problem and operations, while making recommendations to leadership.
Leading and participating in cross-disciplinary, Agency-wide workgroups to identify long-term program challenges, improve business processes, enhance system performance, and support alignment with CBP and DHS planning requirements. Planning, developing, coordinating, and delivering briefings, presentations, planning documents, and management reports to ensure senior leaders receive accurate, concise, and timely information for program resource decisions.
Coordinating sensitive management support activities, organizational support issues, and communication with leadership on personnel-related matters.
