This vacancy is for a Management and Program Analyst in the Office of the Secretary within the Department of Commerce.
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Conduct analyses of administrative and programmatic functions, and organizational structures of moderate to considerable complexity, and develops recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations. Develop and recommends modifications to methods, organizational structures, and management processes to enhance program performance and operational efficiency.
Provide analytical support in the evaluation of administrative functions and services, ensuring alignment with program objectives and mission requirements. Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to assess program requirements, coordinate information flow, and support program integration and decision-making.
Evaluate administrative and operational processes related to meetings, reporting and program coordination, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Analyze administrative documentation and program data related to personnel, budget, and operational activities to support management decision-making.
Identify needs and develops recommendations to modify administrative policies and processes for use in the management and direction of programs and develops data required for the organization to accomplish new requirements. Research current or new management practices for application to programs or operations.
Develop management and/or program evaluation plans and procedures within established evaluation frameworks that accommodate changing OMB, Departmental, and/or program office performance management requirements and yield improvements in organization, staffing, work methods, and procedures. Support the supervisor in monitoring administrative control systems such as those designed to prevent waste, loss, unauthorized use, or misappropriation of assets.
Review administrative audit and investigative reports to determine appropriate changes or corrective action required. Analyze findings and makes recommendations for how to implement corrective actions.
