The position serves as the Fleet Manager for Readjustment Counseling Service (RCS). The position is responsible for planning and coordination of the administration, utilization, maintenance, inspection, and inventory control of the National non-tactical growing vehicle fleet, currently consisting of 83 Mobile Vet Centers (MVC) and 67 support vehicles.
Duties include but are not limited to: Develops national quality control policies in the form of written policy procedures to ensure standardized procedures throughout the nation to ensure the prevention of vehicle misuse and abuse. Determines requirements and develops justification for vehicles needed in support of RCS. Performs analysis of the vehicle fleet regarding utilization, cost per mile, monthly lease costs, and maintenance and repair time.
Addresses and coordinates settlement of disputed charges, changes to maintenance schedules and installation of additional equipment. Develops a training program to facilitate the effective utilization and operations of the Mobile Vet Center Fleet and hosts ongoing support events to provide active engagement and support to RCS staff. Implements overall management and operational guidance/direction provided by the RCS Operations Officer and conducts analyses and reports.
Functions as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for development, negotiation, coordination, and resolution of contracts to secure replacement vehicles and telemetry services Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm EST Virtual: This is a virtual position.
