Job Summary

You will serve as a Marine Machinery Mechanic in the PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia ***See Additional Information section below for details***

Key Responsibilities

You will disassemble and repair marine equipment and machinery including propulsion machinery, auxiliary engines, speed reduction and acceleration mechanisms.

Requirements & Education

This position does not require education. Additional Information: ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.

ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location. Applicants who do not provide this documentation will not receive consideration as an ICTAP candidate.

To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.

Employees directed to a foreign post of duty in Australia may be authorized overseas allowances in accordance with the Department of State Standardized Regulation to include foreign transfer allowance, temporary quarters allowance, living quarters allowance and other allowances to which they are eligible.*** Employees (and their family members) who require medical care in Australia may experience limitations accessing medical care both on the military installation and the local economy and could incur costly medical expenses.
