The primary purpose of this position is to perform work involved in the identification, examination, classification, acceptance, and disposition of a wide variety of materials, complete equipment items, technical components, parts, and commodities. The employee performs materials handling activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receives, examines, verifies, and identifies a wide variety of materials, complete equipment items, technical components, parts, and commodities. - Inspects stored/on-hand property for proper identification and usability conditions Performs inspection of on-hand items/assets for serviceability standards, deterioration, shelf-life, and damage. - Receives, examines, and determines condition of items, components, and equipment to be turned in/removed.
- Performs a broad range of materials handling assignments/activities, such as receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping general or specialized bulk and bin materials and equipment. - Operates electric, LPG, or diesel powered fork lift trucks capable of lifting loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds as high as 168 inches.
