Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a professional engineer facilitating a team of engineers/architects from a variety of disciplines and technical staff on large and complex design and constructionprojects.

Key Responsibilities

Utilizes a professional knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical engineering to work large andcomplexdesign and construction projects, and to manage an installation Energy Program mandated to reduceoverallenergy consumption for existing facilities and utility systems, as well as new construction, and/orrenovation/improvement projects. Manages utility contracts, agreements, metering, and utility budget development.

Provides professional advice on sustainable design and energy efficiency practices. Manages Energy Management Steering Group (EMSG) in accordance with Air Force and DoD policies. Keeps abreast of emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure that facilityequipment, projects, and strategies remain relevant and functional.
