Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, El Paso Sector, Law Enforcement Operational Programs. This position starts at a salary of $74,678.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $97,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10) .
The Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) provides technical guidance and performs a variety of comprehensive services related to workforce management, logistics and general administrative tasks, duties and responsibilities include: Contributing to workforce management, position management, and other workforce administrative programs; performing task associated with requisitions, purchase orders and budget; Maintaining various reports and information for the internal Table of Organization for both the workforce and equipment; coordinating with supervisors and staff to ensure receipt and processing of actions are completed in a timely manner; Providing local agency direction and facilitation of creating, accepting, modifying, and transferring of property in accordance with laws, regulations, and directives; researching suppliers and vendors for the procurement of supplies, equipment, and facilities, then preparing required documentation for approval of purchases; Conducting records management for various activities, performing audits, extracting reports; preparing briefings and reports for management to foster understanding and acceptance of findings, and recommending future operational needs.
