Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, El Paso Sector, Mission Readiness Operations. This position uses your knowledge and experience planning and carrying out a wide variety of mission support, workforce management, administrative research, and program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the Mission Readiness Operations Division. This position starts at a salary of $74,678.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $97,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10) .
The Mission Support Specialist (Workforce Management) performs review and analyst of budget, management, training, logistics, procurement, and other related tasks; duties and responsibilities include: Workers' Compensation case information and management; serving as a liaison with labor and employee relations, equal employment opportunity commission, and chief counsel for cases that have workforce implications.
Serving as a liaison between the Sector and Border Patrol headquarters; maintaining various reports; coordinating with various supervisors and staff to ensure completion of actions and receipt of documents in a timely manner. Assisting management in a confidential capacity for disciplinary actions, grievances, and changes in working conditions that require bargaining with employee unions.
Performing a range of general mission support related duties including travel, training, logistics, budget, pay, and contracting.
