Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, New Orleans Sector, Mission Readiness Operations, located in New Orleans, LA. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
This position uses your experience in various mission support duties that fulfill the goals and objectives of U.S. Border Patrol. The Mission Support Specialist (Workforce Management) plans and carries out a wide variety of mission support, workforce management, administrative research, and program planning activities; duties and responsibilities include: Providing advice involving workforce issues to senior leaders, supervisors, and non-supervisory staff while developing and coordinating hiring plans with input from program officials; Developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for program implementation, and developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of current and proposed processes; Developing, presenting, monitoring, advising, and reporting on workforce management, staffing and placement, strategic planning, and performance planning operations; Preparing reports with data from internal data sources as well as CBP automated systems for regular and one-time informational needs by senior managers; Coordinating with supervisor and staff to ensure receipt of documents and that actions are completed in a timely manner.
