Job Summary
You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator at George Washington Memorial Parkway in the Maintenance Division, located in Arlington, VA Please visit find a park for additional park information.
Key Responsibilities
At the full performance level (WG-08) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Operate motor vehicles including platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, specialty pumping equipment and trash removal trucks. Drive vehicles over public roads at highway speeds to transport passengers, supplies, materials or equipment and tools or to tow equipment throughout rural and urban areas.
Operate vehicles over rough terrain, in close quarters and in heavy traffic on both long and short hauls Perform routine preventative maintenance such as checking and adding fluids to bring to proper levels, checking air pressure and adding when required.
Requirements & Education
There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.
