The purpose of this position is to serve as the Patient Safety/Risk Manager Nurse, responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education and staff development initiatives designed to reduce preventable harm, strengthen patient safety practices, and promote the consistent delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality care. Manages patient safety event review and investigations, analyzes safety and risk data, conducts risk assessments and tracers, and leads corrective and performance-improvement actions to identify system vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and improve patient safety outcomes. Develops and evaluates clinical education, orientation, and competency programs to support staff development and safe patient care.
Maintains required program records and reports and supports staff through consultation, training, and professional development.
