Plan and develop in-service education programs by establishing learning objectives, course content, teaching methods, examination tools, and evaluation criteria in collaboration with department supervisors and staff. Coordinate and implement the new employee orientation program, including developing individualized curricula, coordinating preceptor-based orientation, evaluating learner outcomes, and revising programs to meet organizational and employee needs.
Maintain the hospital-wide competency program by assisting departments with developing, assessing, validating, and evaluating employee competencies and supporting annual competency requirements through observation and demonstration of clinical practice.
Coordinate and provide required clinical education and certification training while supporting compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC), Indian Health Service (IHS), federal and state regulatory requirements, Standards of Nursing Practice, and facility requirements.
