PUERTO RICO NATIONAL GUARD AIR TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT DUTY LOCATION: 156th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Muniz ANGB, Carolina, PR

Key Responsibilities

DUTIES: As a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (D2573000), WG-6641-10, you will provide munitions support to the state and designated agencies in support of their taskings. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: There is frequent standing, bending, and working in tiring positions, although there is occasional sitting down at test consoles or workbenches. It is required to lift, push or pull a variety of items weighing up to 100 pounds or heavier weights with assistance.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works inside and outside; in inclement weather; on icy, wet, and slippery ramps and work stands; and in temperature and humidity extremes.

Subject to dangers from exposure to toxic fumes, high pressure air and fluids, fast actuating metal aircraft surfaces such as landing gears, speed brakes, engine noise, heat blast, intake suction; explosive munitions; chemical munitions, electrical voltage, cartridge actuating devices; liquid oxygen, fire or explosion of aircraft fuels, lubricants, paints and solvents.

Risk of cuts, bruises, scrapes, burns, respiratory irritation, explosions, and high voltage electrical shock. Wear of safety-toed boots, hearing, and eye protection is required.
