Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide packing and repacking support in the preparation of items and equipment for storage and shipment via various modes of transportation.

Key Responsibilities

- Performs a wide variety of standard and specialized preservations and/or packing and repacking work. Uses various protective/cushioning techniques for custom packing of a variety of items including hazardous materials to ensure safe and damage free movement. - Packs and accomplishes certification of all types of hazardous, sensitive and classified cargo in accordance with federal regulations.

- Uses and maintains various types of equipment, such as packaging and preservations equipment, heat sealers, shrink wrapper, and stapling machine. - Performs duties and operates equipment in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures, and complying with established safety rules and regulations.

- Operates one or more electric, LPG, or diesel powered forklift trucks which are capable of lifting loads of up to 10,000 pounds as high as 168 inches o facilitate loading and unloading duties.
