Job Summary
About the Position: You will serve as a Physical Science Technician (Forensics) at the US Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL). You will be responsible for the receipt of irreplaceable evidence, collection, preservation, and evaluation of samples, and developing forensic testing strategies. Work involves processing controlled substances/narcotics, DNA, digital evidence, firearms/ammunition, latent fingerprints, and trace evidence.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates items of evidence to determine suitability for analysis, the type of processing required, and the appropriate sequence of testing to prevent the loss, contamination, or deleterious change of evidentiary items.
Requirements & Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
