Veterans shape the future of energy As a Physical Scientist (EPSCoR Program Manager), you will: Conceive, plan, and direct complex, cutting-edge physical science programs translating high-level priorities into long-range strategic goals, research agendas, and resource plans.
Serve as a recognized agency authority providing expert consultation, analyses, and recommendations on advanced physical science topics relevant to the EPSCoR program to senior leadership and external stakeholders. Manage program budgets, monitor project progress, conduct evaluations to ensure alignment with DOE and EPSCoR goals, and oversee corrective actions and contractor performance.
Act as an official spokesperson and liaison for the DOE in high-level national/international forums, interagency committees, and professional conferences to advance scientific collaboration and geographic diversity in research. Oversee the solicitation, independent peer review, and funding allocation processes for scientific proposals, ensuring the integration of innovative physical science research across the agency.

Combination of education and experience: education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
