The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the principal technical advisor and senior imagery scientist, responsible for directing and executing the most complex technical analysis. The incumbent will pioneer innovative analytic methodologies, solve the most challenging intelligence problems, and provide expert oversight for all mission-critical production, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and impact for national security objectives.
DUTY 1: Manages and performs a broad range of science, engineering and/or mathematical assignments entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technology. DUTY 2: As a recognized expert, provides technical guidance, advisory support, and leads projects and/or major phases of advanced GEOINT Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination operations.
DUTY 3: As a recognized expert, provides technical guidance, advisory support, leadership, and assistance on projects and/or major phases for broad and varied operations. DUTY 4: Serves as expert advisor responsible for developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of an interaction with all relevant NASIC, Air Force, and IC mission partners.
DUTY 5: Advises Center leadership as required in the review, evaluation, prioritizing, and integration of future resource requirements to ensure adequacy and consistency with the management of project-related production activities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
