The primary purpose of this position is to administer the installation's antiterrorism and force protection programs. Serves as a technical advisor to the Security Forces (SF) Antiterrorism Officer (ATO) and unit-level security and antiterrorism representatives.
Develops local Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) programs and policies for ATO approval. Utilizes knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices to develop and issue written procedures and policies, in the form of supplemental guidance, operating instructions, plans and directives for the installation related to antiterrorism programs. Serves as the technical authority on matters involving Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP).
Responsible for the coordination, deconfliction, and integration of various force protection processes, assessments, and activities across the installation. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Antiterrorism and Force Protection to provide effective guidance, training, and direction to assigned organizations and activities.
Plans, conducts, performs or coordinates on site security studies, projects, assessments, and training activities in relationship to antiterrorism and force protection requirements. Serves as the focal point to integrate various aspects of antiterrorism, integrated defense, physical security, and force protection to resolve conventional security problems.
Coordinates with Civil Engineering, Communications, Medical, AFOSI, Intelligence, Public Affairs, Judge Advocate, evaluation teams, tenant units, and other agencies to ensure elements of antiterrorism are assessed, understood, and mitigated based on current threats and force protection influences.
