Job Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Physician, you will: Provide substantial technical and scientific input into the planning, implementation, and analysis of scientific research studies and develops new concepts, methods, and strategies for obtaining and using data on major medical and public health risks. Establishes ongoing research collaborations with other CDC components, agencies, and institutions and coordinates scientific and public health research activities.
Prepares and submits manuscripts reporting scientific findings and related policy issues for presentation at professional meetings and publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Requirements & Education
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
