Job Summary

You will serve as Plans, Strategy, & Assessments Specialist at the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies, 8414 McGuire Ave, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK 99506.

Key Responsibilities

As a Plans, Strategy, & Assessments Spec at the GS-0301-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Lead the development and management of the Center's Biennial Program Plan, translating leadership guidance into a comprehensive process with clear timelines and deliverables. Manage the Center's long-range Strategic Calendar (3-18+ months), deconflicting major activities, and lead the formal review and update cycle for all foundational governance documents.

Conduct strategic horizon scanning and long-range risk assessments to identify emerging trends in the Arctic security environment and advise leadership on necessary adjustments. Drive the executive decision-making process by coordinating leadership briefs, vetting staff proposals, and transforming raw performance data into actionable, strategic insights.

Guide the Center's Integrated Planning Team (IPT) framework, actively identifying cross-divisional dependencies and providing strategic health assessments to mitigate risks. Coordinate and execute the quarterly Program Management Review (PMR) cycle, including establishing reporting metrics, conducting quality assurance on materials, and facilitating the review sessions.

Capture, assign, and track all tasks and decisions generated during PMRs, integrating findings into broader organizational assessments to inform strategic adjustments and resource allocation.
