The primary purpose of this position is to perform journeyman-level work while performing scheduled/unscheduled inspections, and minor/major maintenance on both powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment (AGE).
- Performs periodic inspections on assigned powered and non-powered AGE. - Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions. - Performs major repair, replacement, overhaul (within limitations), and time compliance technical order (TCTO) modifications, of AGE systems and components. - Performs service inspections and operational checkout procedures on assigned powered and non-powered AGE.
Performs periodic inspections and operator/user maintenance on tools, shop equipment, and assigned GSA and special purpose vehicles (using checklist). - Utilizes safety practices and procedures, adheres to established safety rules and regulations, and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
This position is with Pacific Air Forces, Department of the Air Force.
