This position is part of the Aquisition and Procurement Office in the, War Media Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for or developing and interpreting acquisition policies, conducting pre-award and post-award contract reviews, and evaluating compliance with applicable procurement laws and regulations.
This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated October 15, 2021.
As a Procurement Analyst at the GS-1102-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Develop acquisition strategies to meet Government requirements; evaluate acquisition methods, contract types, contract terms, funding appropriateness, and unpriced contract actions; and provide technical contract advice and assistance to senior agency officials.
Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate memorandum, correspondence, reports, and supporting documentation for contractual actions and recommendations. Reviews and interprets procurement requirements and develops local policies and procedures for the effective use of contracting systems and automated acquisition tools.
Conducts comprehensive studies and analyses of procurement policy and procedural issues; develops clear, timely program guidance, standardized processes, and local operating procedures; and prepares reports and briefings to support approval of recommendations. Provide authoritative technical advice and assistance on complex contracting matters with senior agency officials.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
